Equara is a proprietary investment group with capital deployed across private and public markets.

Our Investment focus

Equara is investing across asset classes seeking long term, sustainable returns.

The Equara story

Based in Jersey, but with its roots in Africa, the Equara Group is proud of its heritage.

Charitable Foundation

Good Governance Africa is focused on improving governance across the continent.

Our Vision and Values

Our vision is to deliver exceptional risk-adjusted returns over the long term and to raise prosperity levels across Africa.

Growth

As a proprietary investment group, we aim to grow our capital over the long term. However growth does not solely refer to capital – we also seek to enhance the well-being of the individuals we touch through our philanthropic work.

Sustainability

Every investment or philanthropic decision we take has sustainability at its core. Wherever we choose to allocate capital, we ensure that the environmental, economic and social impacts of doing so are sustainable for future generations.

Integrity

We expect integrity from ourselves as an organisation, the people who work for us, and the partners we choose to work alongside. Integrity is defined as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles – we believe these characteristics are essential to consistently achieving positive outcomes in any context.

Our Approach

Through careful in-house analysis and working with trusted partners, Equara invests in a broad range of asset classes spanning listed equities, real estate, venture capital, and private and public debt.

By ensuring all investments meet our rigorous selection criteria, and by utilising active risk management strategies, Equara continues to build a diversified asset base that will perform over multiple market cycles.

Having high environmental, social and governance (ESG) credentials are fundamental to ensuring that any potential or current investment holding features in our portfolio.
